Kenro's Nigel Mapstone Passes Away

We are sad to report that Kenro has announced the death of Nigel Mapstone, the company’s Area Sales Manager for the South West of England. Nigel died suddenly and unexpectedly at home.

Kenro Managing Director, Paul Kench paid this tribute: “Nigel had been part of the team at Kenro for many years and was a well-liked and well-respected figure. I’m sure I can speak for all Nigel’s friends, colleagues and customers within the imaging industry by saying that the photographic world is a far poorer place following his passing. Our thoughts go out to Nigel’s family at this tragic time.”

Please feel free to leave comments, memories and messages below as well as on the forum thread, and we will pass them on to Nigel's

Retail Sales Dampended by Dismal April

<a href="http://www.pixellive.co.uk/content/attachments/733-rainretail.jpg/?quot;= title="Name:

· UK retail sales values were down 3.3% on a like-for-like basis from April 2011, when they were up 5.2% on a year ago. On a total basis, sales were down 1.0%, against a 6.9% increase in April 2011.
· Food sales fell back below their year-earlier level, when they had benefited from Easter buying. Record April rainfall and chilly temperatures hit clothing and footwear sales. Though it helped some smaller homewares, big-ticket purchases continued to struggle and were often promotion-led, amid continued consumer caution.
